Connecting Student Clubs Across Borders: IUS and Yeditepe Collaboration

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the pleasure of hosting a delegation as part of the Top 5 Club Award Trip, an initiative organized by Yeditepe University to celebrate and reward its five most successful student clubs.

The visiting delegation included Yeditepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba, Rector’s Advisor and Student Center Coordinator Ayşegül Gülbay, as well as representatives of the Sports Club, Dentistry Club, Biotechnology Club, Search and Rescue Club, and Dance Club. The delegation was warmly received by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı and Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs and IUS student clubs representatives.

The program opened with a student clubs networking and cooperation meeting held in the IUS Senate Hall, where representatives of student organizations from both universities had the opportunity to introduce their activities, exchange experiences, and discuss ideas for future joint projects. The meeting provided a valuable platform for strengthening intercultural dialogue and encouraging collaboration in the areas of student engagement, social responsibility, sports, health, science, and the arts.

This visit highlighted the importance of student-centered international cooperation and reaffirmed the commitment of both universities to fostering active student communities, creativity, and cross-border partnerships.
