The IUS Chess Club was founded during the second half of the academic year in 2025 and is just getting started but already thinking five moves ahead — the IUS Chess Club is here to stay. If you're expecting another Queen’s Gambit remake, sorry... we don’t (yet) play in sunglasses and ballgowns — however we have more than you might think.

Our Mission
The IUS Chess Club is a new, student-led community dedicated to promoting strategic thinking, friendly competition, and campus connection through chess. Also, we are here to create a vibrant, welcoming community where students from all levels can enjoy chess.
Although the club was launched later in the academic year, it has already organized its first Blitz tournament during The 2025 Spring Festival and is actively building a creative, inclusive environment.
