I have come to IUS with the advice of a friend. It is a difficult decision to study abroad. Before making a such decision to take my time and study in Bosnia & Hercegovina. Although I have been recommended about IUS, I wanted to do more research on the internet about both the IUS and Bosnia & Hercegovina. Everyone was writing and talking about the country’s warm-blooded people and preserved cultural texture. I am here writing this letter, 2 years after the graduation, it is exactly true. Having B.Sc. in FENS - Electrical & Electronics Engineering, the social and educational life I have experienced in Bosnia & Hercegovina and at IUS, was just remarkable.
I do still visit Bosnia & Herzegovina that has contributed greatly to my professional development and as well as the lifelong friendships.
About my Professional life after graduation, I have started working and was involved in international projects. Those projects were about turn-key industrial electrical contracting projects. First, I was a Project Manager for 4 MVA Stone Wool Project in Budapest then moved to Greece for 2 MVA Stone Wool Project again. Alongside with those projects, my company is taking part in another project in Iraq/Duhok where we have so far installed 11 MVA Facility. In these projects, we are taking part from medium voltage systems to weak current systems. Our company is one of the few Siemens Sivacon Solution Partner in Turkey. As a company we also deal with Solar Energy Systems, KNX Smart Home Systems, Siemens Fire Detection Systems. I am currently working as the founding partner RST Engineering and Foreign Trade Company, at the same time as Project Manager in ELTES Electric in Turkey.
IUS has a huge impact on my professional life with the international educational background. With that being said, The IUS was and is still a home away from home. I find myself lucky to be graduated from IUS. My recommendation to the next generation is that it is really important to adapt that technical knowledge taught in university in practical knowledge and improve communication skills.
